Back to School Coupons – Know Where to Find Them and How to Use Them Wisely

We all know just how expensive getting our kids ready to go back to school can be! All the equipment, clothes, shoes, and other necessities soon add up. Back to school coupons can end up saving you hundreds of dollars if you use them wisely. Here is a quick guide to making the biggest saving.

Don’t Stick To One Store

Those who regularly use back to school coupons will know that stores often put huge discounts on certain items simply to draw people into the store. Although they don’t make a profit on the discounted items, they hope that the parents will buy all their other supplies from that one store. Don’t fall for this trick if you want to save the most money from your back to school coupons! Take time visiting different stores so you get the best prices all round.

Make A List

Finding back to school coupons is all about saving money, which means not buying things that you wouldn’t have bought normally! So many of us get tempted into buying things we don’t need just because we have a coupon for it. To stop yourself from doing this, write yourself a shopping list and make sure that you really do stick to it!

A Guide to Choosing the Right Kiddie Pool for Summer

Buying a kiddie pool is a great idea to keep your children occupied during the hot summer months. Here is a quick guide to the different types of pool to choose from.

Inflatable Kiddie Pool

Inflatable kids pools are very popular thanks to their relatively low cost and ease of setup. They’re simply made of tubes filled with air at the sides, that are big enough for your kids to sit and play in but not big enough for them to get out of their depth.

Hard Plastic Pools

These are another type of above ground swimming pool that can be a little bigger than inflatable pools. The real main difference is the fact that they have a stiff plastic wall rather than inflatable tubes to keep the water inside the pool.

Which One Should You Choose?

Both types of kiddie pool are extremely easy to set up, so it won’t make difference which one you choose in that respect.

Pool Safety For Kids – 6 Essential Things that Parents Need to Know

Whether you’ve got an inflatable kiddie pool, or your kids are playing in standard swimming pools, pool safety is always important. No matter how deep the water, there’s always a risk if you don’t properly watch your children. Here’s a guide to the essential pool safety tips to bear in mind.

1) Always Watch Your Children

The number one rule of pool safety is never to leave your kids alone, even for just a minute. Make sure an adult is supervising the children at absolutely all times. If your child is younger than five then you need to make sure you’re within an arm’s reach of the child at all times. These rules apply even if your child has had swimming lessons.

2) Install A Fence Around The Pool

The number one reason why young children drown in pools is because they wander outside and into the pool without their parents noticing. To help prevent this, install a child-proof fence (that your kids can’t climb over, under or through) around all sides of the pool. The fence should be four feet high, with any vertical slats less than four inches apart (so your child can’t climb through), and with latches on gates out of the child’s reach. You should also add pool covers and alarms for maximum protection. The same applies to hot tubs and spas.

3) Think Fast

If a child has gone missing then always check the pool first. The few seconds you take could mean the difference between life and death. If you have a pool, you should also learn CPR in the event that anything bad should happen.
