Oh, those dreaded holidays. They will soon be here and what are you going to do about those people on your gift list? I’m sure that you have at least one fussy relative who you always have a hard time getting something for. Socks or ties are just not going to cut the mustard anymore. You need something exciting, something new, something that they will love. I think that I have found just the thing for you. A Leatherman.
So, just what is a Leatherman anyway? It is basically a multi-tool with lots of blades and options. They are just so cool that it is amazing that not more people know about them.
The whole idea for the Leatherman emerged back in the 1970′s. Around that time a young mechanical engineering student was traveling through Europe and the Middle East. He had to fix his own car to save money and it proved to be quite the challenge. He found himself dreaming of a tool…basically a pocketknife with a pair of pliers. When he got back to the States he decided to make one himself.
He soon formulated the Leatherman Company with his business partner and proceeded to sell his first Leatherman Mini Tool. This company has grown a lot since those days. It now sells not only tons of multi-tools, but LED flashlights and knives as well.
